Welcome to SANTHIRAM ENGINEERING COLLEGE, Santhiram Engineering College (SREC) is sponsored by M/s Sri Shirdi Sai Educational Academy, Nandyal. SREC was established under the able guidance of Dr. M. Santhiramudu, Chairman, in the year 2007 with a noble motto “Education for Peace and Progress”. The college is ranked as one of the Best Engineering Colleges of JNTUA, Ananthapuramu. The institute has got permanent affiliation from JNTUA Anantapuramu. It has been conferred Autonomous status by UGC in 2023. The institute has also got accredited by NBA and NAAC with A grade (3.2 out of 4.0 CGPA). SREC is situated on NH-40, 12 KM away from Nandyal, Kurnool Dist, Andhra Pradesh. The institute is offering 06 UG Engineering and Technology (Bachelor of Technology) courses and 04 PG Engineering courses (Master of Technology) and 01 Doctoral Programs in Electronics and Communication Department apart from Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA) of JNT University, Anantapuramu. It is a learning abode for 2000+ Students. The campus is pollution-free and its serene environment is ideally suited for academic activities. Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering
Anticipating the significance of the electronics and wireless communication realistic role in the society, industry and among the public, the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering has been started carrying up its rationale since 2007 concentrating and imparting electronic & technological solutions in to the young minds of the Society. The Department was initially started with an intake of 60 seats since the opportunities are stupendous and the increase in demand for the production of engineers it is upgraded to 90 seats in 2008. The intake has increased further to 120 in the year 2009. Forecasting the tremendous growth & opportunities in VLSI, the Department also started a Master of Technology (M. Tech) program in VLSI System Design with an intake of 18 seats. The department received an ISO 9001:2015 certification for its qualitative functioning. The objectives of the department include: to produce quality engineers, indulge in research and promote the students to be active in entrepreneurship. The faculty has been involved in teaching and research in the diverse aspects such as Wireless Communications & Networking, Microelectronics and VLSI, Digital Image Processing, and Antenna design. The department has state of the art laboratories. The department extends its unwavering support for the growth of every student fulfilling their dreams. The department also extended its support to groom and nurture the qualities of teamwork, leadership, mutual understanding and co-ordination providing exposure to public and executive communication. The department has received accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation. The Department also established a Master of Technology (M. Tech) program in Embedded System Design in the year 2023 with an intake of 18 seats. The Department of ECE has Sanctioned IDEA LAB with the worth of 1.1 cr in association with AICTE.
Department of Basic Sciences
The Department of Humanities and Sciences came into existence in the year
2007 when the college was started. The department plays a vital role in grooming
the students in their basic knowledge of science and language, and its prime focus is to provide a conceptual base in
Basic Sciences which form a foundation to the Engineering subjects.
It is instrumental in grooming the students into competent Engineers and individuals through training in
Soft Skills, to compete for global opportunities. In view of the rapid development
of knowledge and the technological changes, the department seeks to strengthen itself by integrating it with the
engineering departments for a productive knowledge base.
The department has been encouraging the conduct of workshops and seminars to enable the faculty to keep abreast of the
knowledge and methodologies in the respective fields of research.
The Department comprises of Mathematics,
Physics, Chemistry, and
English and deals with Mathematics-I, Mathematics-II, Mathematics-III, Mathematical Methods, Probability & Statistics,
Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science, Advanced Engineering Mathematics, Computer Oriented Numerical Methods, Chemistry,
Environmental Studies, English, Business Communication skills and Soft skills training programmes with emphasis on
personality development. Being the supportive department, H&S plays a constructive role
in the development of the organization. The department is strengthened by Professors, Associate Professors in each subject of
Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English.
